There is a lot to understand when selecting a lawyer. For your ease of reference, you can find detailed information about the following topics on this page:

A. Our Services

ValueLaw.ca is a limited practice law firm. This means we only do legal work in real estate transactions that are for the purchase or sale of residential resale properties in Alberta.

We do not provide real estate legal services that involve commercial real estate, or agricultural real estate.

Should you require a lawyer for the above excluded legal services, we will be pleased to provide you with a referral.

B. Our Guarantees

We get it. Before you start reading this, you’re probably thinking “What’s the Catch?” or “Guarantee written by a Lawyer? It’s probably going to be full of legal jargon and loopholes!”

Ok, so we’re going to try and level with you here — there is no catch, and our guarantees are sincere and easy to understand.

Our goal is to provide you with the lowest possible price. See a law firm with a better-advertised price? Bring it to our attention before your contract’s closing date and, not only will we match it, but we will beat that price by 10%.

Our #1 priority is your 100% satisfaction. We stand by this priority. No matter what. No questions asked. No holds barred. No ifs, ands or buts.

If you experience a problem when working with us, we want to know about it so we can do everything in our power to solve it.

Let us know of the problem before your contract’s closing date and, just for bringing it to our attention, we will provide you with a $50 gift card to your favourite local restaurant.

Moreover, if we don’t satisfy you with our efforts to solve the problem and, again, provided you bring it to our attention before your contract’s closing date, we will fully refund you your legal fees.

C. Retaining ValueLaw.ca

We love helping clients achieve their real estate goals and hope we get the opportunity to work with you. Here are some important things to understand about the lawyer-client relationship:

  • Registering through our website or submitting a question to us through our website does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Before you can become a client of ValueLaw.ca we need to complete certain internal controls, such as ensuring that we do not have a conflict of interest that prevents us from acting as your lawyers.

  • Our ability to assist you is always subject to our availability and capacity to accept new clients. Although we never like to turn away potential clients, we always want to ensure we can provide the exceptional service our clients deserve. This means that if we do not have sufficient capacity or availability to assist you, we may have to decline to act as your lawyers.
  • If we are able to assist you, our lawyer-client relationship is formed when we provide you with our retainer letter which sets out the terms and conditions of our relationship.
  • We offer the option to meet with us on weekday evenings. Although we do our best to make ourselves available for such appointments, our ability to meet with you outside of our regular business hours is subject to the availability of our personnel to meet with you as well as being able to address any health and safety concerns.

D. Coupons & Discount Codes

Coupons and Discount Codes are valid for a limited time only.

ValueLaw.ca reserves the right to modify or cancel coupons and discount codes at any time.

Coupons and discount codes only apply to qualifying packages displayed with the coupon or discount code offer.

The promotions are limited to one coupon or discount code per transaction.

Promotions, discount codes, and coupon codes cannot be combined.

Void where prohibited.
